Welcome,

All people are welcome here. St. John's church is a friendly place offering a welcome to ALL. This is a beautiful church on the edge of the Peak District, and is ideal for weddings, baptisms and funerals. We are part of the Benefice of Mossley covering the whole town, and with another worship centre at St George's Mossley. The parish is part of the Diocese of Manchester, which is part of the Church of England - follow the links to learn more about our faith.

Our PCC agreed the following inclusion statement in 2020: We are a welcoming and inclusive Christian community built on the understanding that God accepts us equally, irrespective of gender, sexuality, race, social standing, belief, age or ability - and believing that God calls us equally to share that unconditional love with all people, without exception.

At 9.30am on Sundays there is a service of Holy Communion (The Eucharist, the Lord's Supper, the Mass). There are books and toys available for children during the service. Tea and coffee is available after our services.

Cell groups - home based Bible study groups - meet in the week, when there is an opportunity to share with other people and study the Bible together. It is a good place to support each other.

For enquiries - see Get in touch.
